Visiting with Tyler-man

Judy and I are in Romeoville, Illinois visiting with the grandson. Oh, and we’re also spending some time with our daughter and son-in-law. Tyler is eighteen months and all boy. At this point he actually growls more than talks; which is cool when wrestling; and he loves to wrestle. Having a granddaughter and a grandson has given me a renewed perspective on the great difference God implanted within the sexes.

Even in these days of moral confusion, when the lines of gender distinctions are gradually being erased, the differences are still obvious to the honest observer. Little children may be the only class which is still true to itself. I won’t apologize for saying it, the majority of men have abdicated their God given role and women have filled the void.

Unfortunately, the vacuum has weakened the family structure as more and more men have forgotten what it is to be a man. We would do well do revisit the world of little children and relearn the role God intended us to play. Maybe men should growl more and grovel less.
